Mac OS X compatible software needed for Polar products!

In fact, I thought I might shout this out a bit louder, just in case someone happens to be listening:

Polar is producing excellent heart rate monitors with only one flaw: the lack of Mac OS X compatible versions of up-link and web-link programs!

Shame on you Polar! Shame on you for not keeping up with the times. PCs are the ugly and clunky dinosaurs of the past and Macs are the way forward.

Bring out OS X versions of the up-link and web-link software and redeem yourself!

You thought that someone in finnish industry understand anything about the trends. People in Polar think that Windows is computer and the blue e is the symbol of the internet. And you're not the only one:

Yeh I figured that parallel desktops would be the way to do it, but fuck if I'm going to tarnish my Macbook Pro with Windows scum!

I'd rather type in the data manually, than go to such effort to overcome a problem that I shouldn't be facing in the first place.

Its incredibly shortsighted not to provide Mac support for Polar products. I'm just overly disappointed seeing such an excellent brand, with such an excellent product, doing such a poor job with their platform compatibility!

Some people just can't do that "one more thing".

Hi Tipi,

I couldn't agree more. Just posted a feedback at polar's site that I was gobsmacked there is no support for a Mac.

Your/the pics of Byron bay made me melancholic remembering my world trip a long time ago. But that's something completely different.

Hanging loose,

Hi,
I'm from Mexico and I just got my polar and I'm sad because I can't sync with my macbook. I've read about doing it with boot camp but i think is too messy ...

ok, Im going to ask just one more time before I toss my Polar and spend HUNDREDS on something else compatible with my Mac Pro Book.

www.ismarttrain.com or www.itrainsmart.com whatever its called is a joke with their "USB1.1 is incompatible" "if you use your USB port your Mac will explode" blah blah blah We have a beta that works like a champ, we tell apple what to do.... I'd rather ask the DMV office if I can find a useful product. After six months of trying to get a straight answer out of them,.... dont get me started.

So....

YES or NO. Has anyone found a normal/somewhat comfortable way to down load data from a Polar to a Mac? I would really want an answer, not the link to www.itrainrealsmart.com

I believe the answer is the Garmin Forerunner. It has Mac compatibility soon. I've been e-mailing Polar for two years now regarding Mac support and they keep blowing me off. I'm about ready to dump them, and probably will, the minute Garmin is compatible.
